When I get lost within my world
Stuck in a deep contemplation
My feelings are in disarray
Unable to find satisfaction

I take a brush and bring it to the canvas
Just what emotions should I paint
Some colors have a bright beginning
One day they slowly fade away

Deep seated yearning for something new
Takes hold and brings my hands to move
Atop the painting that has withered
A bright new picture shall take place

A flash of inspiration that I’ve been waiting for
Express emotions brighter, to make them crystal clear
